All album covers should be a reinterpretation of this one. Any rapper willing to recreate this cover deserves at least 5 mics off the top. Mongo Santamaria was an Afro-Cuban jazz percussionist who worked with pretty much every jazz and latin musician worth mentioning. In that sense, I'd be remiss if I didn't let you know that the music lives up to the album cover. It's got latin soul. (ha, you'll get that later.) Now tell your blogger friends about that one.
